Electrical wiring jobs require several tools, which are actually not that costly. Those who want to do a bit of complicated electrician work should invest in quality electrician tools.
1. Continuity tester. This is a small battery powered tester that comes at a cheap price. You use it to determine whether the wiring installation is broken. It detects breaks in the continuity of the circuits.
2. Multi-meter. This device also checks for continuity, but it is more versatile than a simple continuity tester, as a multi-meter can also do voltage checks. Skilled electricians may be able to use the device in a jiffy, but beginners should read the manual. Generally, a multi-meter is like an ohm meter, volt meter and continuity tester combined.
3. Circuit tester. This is a device that is easy to use. It is simply plugged into a power outlet. What it does is that it tells you whether the circuit is properly grounded or not.
